We work and care for people with blindness and low vision all over Gujarart through a network of district and taluka branches
The National Association for the Blind reaches to the remotest corner of Gujarat and provides education, training and employment to the person with visual impairment. From Banaskantha in the north to Valsad in the south, from Kutch in the west to Sabarkantha in the east, the NAB GSB has built an active network through strategically located 24 district branches. NAB GSB is developing into one stop destination for the persons with visually impairment to get access to services, schemes and concessions.

AII Gujarat Events: Every year NAB GSB supports these competitions that are organized by District and Taluka branches to provide a launch pad to the blind youth who are loaded with talent
Ø Chess Tournament for the Blind
Ø Cricket tournament for the blind –
Ø Four zonal tournaments followed by one state level Event where the winning team gets Vijay Merchant Rotating Trophy
Ø Athletic Meet for the Blind
Ø Vocal Music competition for the Blind
Ø Braille Reading for the Blind
Ø Garba Competition for the Blind Women
Ø One-act play competition for the blind
Ø Poetry Recitation Competition for the Blind
Through these events we encourage universal participation, create public awareness and enhance visibility.

v All India Flag Day for the Blind - Every 14th September becomes a day of celebration and expression of talent and joy. Performances become a way to reach to people's heart and start a new way of looking at world.
v Louis Braille Day - 4th January, a blind person reads news on Doordarshan and All India Radio
v Helen Keller Day - 27th May
v World Sight Day - 10th October
v World White Cane Day - 15th October
v World Disabled Day - 3rd December
Our programmes & centers pave the way to an empowerment and rights based living for people with visual impairment
We empower : Integrated and inclusive
A programme supported by Gujarat Council Educational Research & Training, Government of Gujarat makes it possible for 850 disabled children to get education in regular schools with help of 28
We promote : Braille Press
A set up that provides opportunities for blind to read the world in Braille and feel being part of the society. We have both -computerizeD and REGULAR Braille Press set up where we make text books for all the Blind schools, Integrated education programme and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan.This unit is supported by the Department of Social Defense.
We support : Eye Care
Don't lose hope. We are there for eye care. NAB GSB mobilizes resources for supporting free of cost eye surgeries at Navalbhai Hiraba Eye Hospital, Bareja,
We care : Savinay Rehabilitation Centre Bavla
A place which is equipped with a resource centre for integrated education and the concerned training programmes. It is the first recognized inclusive school where 65 disabled and non-disabled children are studying together.
We reach out : Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR)
We reach to thousand of rural blind persons in their own homes through trained local CBR workers
