  • 19 January to :  Ms. Neera Jaiswal, student of Faculty of Planning and Public University, CEPT University, Ahmedabad in Urban Transport Planning and Management.  She studied on “Methods and Challenges to improve accessibility of persons with disability in public transport”.

  • 1 February to 4 March 2011:  Mr. Lavingiya Niravkumar D, MSW student of Shri Adarsh M.S.W College, Botad, Gujarat was given the responsibility of understanding the working of the State Nodal Agency Centre (SNAC) of the National Trust, a statutory body under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India New Delhi.  The BPA Acts as the SNAC and Nirav helped in filling forms of Niramaya, a Health Insurance Scheme for the welfare of persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities.  He also interacted with parents and disabled persons as part of his placement.

§         19 January 2011 (for 3 months):  Ms. Ambara Singh Diploma Project of Undergraduate 4th year (Craft Design) student of Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur for developing display material for exhibiting products made by the BPA

§         14 February 2011(for 2 months):  Ms. Pragya Bothra Project of Undergraduate 4th year student (Specializing in Hard Material Application) of Indian Institute of Crafts & Design, Jaipur

§         21 February 2011:  Ms. Bhavnaben Umiyashanker Joshi, M.Ed student of Lokmanya College of Education, Shivranjini Cross Road, Ahmedabad for data collection

  • 13 December 2010 to 9 March 2011:  Ms. Sheba U. Shukla, student of Diploma in Clinical Counseling and Psychotherapy, Kanoria Centre for Medical Education done her practical training in counseling, parents training, group counseling and psychological testing with children with mentally challenge in BPA Multiple Disability Unit. 

  • July 2011 to January 2012:  Anjali Menon and Atiti Agrawal, NID students developed this Park which will enable blind and multiply disabled kids to explore and learn.  The different surfaces will help kids to understand shapes, sizes, textures, surfaces.  These surfaces have different audible toys; a bamboo curtain with interesting danglers.  The spaces, surfaces and recreational and learning materials created by them will make children with disabilities enjoy and learn at the same time. Definitely this garden is a mark on the BPA and in the hearts of the kids.  Inauguration of this Park is on 29 February 2012 by the worthy hands of Mr. Pradyumna Vyas, Director of NID, Ahmedabad. 

  • 23 May to 4 June, 2011: Daksh Mitra, Student of   Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur was placed at the BPA from as a part of the 5 year Integrated Law Course.

  • 1-30 June 2011: Ms. Lincy Varghese, student of Centre for Development Communication and Journalism, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad was placed for a month at the BPA and was given the assignment of designing a Booklet for the   Employment and Placement Services booklet. She did a wonderful job as you can see.

  • 12 June to 8 August 2011:  Kelli Marie Simpkins, student from Washington State University, Pullman, Washington to do Service-Learning Internships at BPA Sponsored By Indian American Education Foundation.

  • 15 July 2011 to 15 July 2012 (3-days & 2 hours a day in a week):  Study on Blind Navigation System, Multi desire wheelchair (which can be controlled through tongue based sensor & can be changed to standing form Voice controlled wheelchair by L.D. College of Engineering students Ms. Sonupriya, Mr. Chintak Dholakia,  Mr. Pratik Gandhi, Mr. Sumit Shatwara, Mr. Priyesh Rajnikant, Mr. Bhargav Desai, Mr. Vanraj Kamliya, Ms. Vidhi Narshana Vipinbhai  and Ms. Roshni Ninama Dashratbhai Government of Gujarat, Ahmedabad.

  • 4 January 2012 to 25 January 2012: Ms. Heena Hasmukh Shah (H.L.I.C) provided her voluntary services (96 hours) as Placement Student worked with our autistic, mentally retarded and multiple disabilities.

  • 24 November 2011 to 9 January 2012: Ms Prakruti Anilbhai Rudani (H.L.I.C) provided her voluntary services (96 hours) as Placement Student worked with our autistic and deafblind.

  • January 2012 (one month): Mr. Ayudh Pradipkumar Panchal  & Mr. Dhruv Shaileshkumar Shah from Institute for Technology and Management (PGDM 2011-13 ITM-Chennai) assigned the responsibility of assessing Feasibility of BPA’s unit - C. S. Samariya Charity Shop as part of their 2nd trimester NGO project work.

  • 6-24 February 2012:  Ms. Suhela G. Patel and Mr. Lalji Chaudhari, M.S.W students from Nootan Vinay Mandir, Patan done their Block Placement Training at BPA Bareja Eye Hospital.
