Dr.
Gyaneshwar has a masters degree in general surgery, and also in hospital management
and bachelor's degree in law. He is practicing surgery since 17 years at
his own 30 bedded private hospital, with additional surgical training in
Upper G. I. Endoscopy and Laparoscopy. Currently, he is a member of Governing
Council of Association of Surgeons of India for the year 2004 - 2007, Vice-President of Indian
Medical Association - Gujarat State 2000 -2001, Executive Committee member of
Gujarat State Surgeon's Association, Director of International Service
Rotary Club of Bhuj, and a member in Judges Panel
of Consumer Redressal Forum, Kachchh. Previous year he was also elected as
the President of The Association of Surgeons' of India - Gujarat State
Chapter and successfully conducted an Annual State Conference at
Bhuj. Being an active member of Rotary Club as a Treasurer, he also
spare time for club's social activities. Dr. Gyaneshwar's educational
background, his leadership qualities and enthusiasm and dedication
towards his work make him highly resourceful and inspiring gentleman.
Being a sportsperson, he is fond of badminton, an University
National player and President of Bhuj Badminton Association. He also
likes light classical music.
He has been awarded the I. H. Desai Community Service Gold Medal D. G.
Dist. 3050 Rotary International for the year 2001 - 2002 for his
outstanding work in the immediate medical relief to earthquake victims.
Awarded Dr. Shukla Community Service Award for the year 1998 - 1999 (I.M.A.
- Bhuj).
Under his dynamic leadership K.C.R.C. bagged the National Award for
Barrier Free Environment in its very first year by Hon'ble Shri. A. P. J.
Abdul Kalaam, the
President of India.
