Mother NGO
|
The
urgent need for a person centred quality driven reproductive
health programme is now well accepted by all. The Government of
India launched programme in 1997 to ensure that men and women have
access to adequate information and services to reproductive health
care.
Spandan basically a medical relief and rehabilitation trust was
chosen as the mother NGO |

for
Kachchh district in four talukas Bhuj, Lankhpat, Abdasa & Bhachau
for implementation of RCH programme under Government of India,
Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

WASMO Project
|
|
SPANDAN got one project from WASMO regarding Roof Top Rain Water
harvesting structure in 28 schools & 2 check dams in of Bhuj Taluka in Kachchh
district. |

Vocational Training Programme
|
|
Vocational training programme had
started for 30 disabled women in Mandvi taluka for 2 months.
Through Community Based Rehabilitation programme KCRC centre
started training programme of Vacational training for Orthopedic &
Hearing Impaired disabled females along with Government India,
Ministry of Labor & Employment/D.G.E.S.T. Vacational
Rehabilitation centre for HI women (CBVT). |

Self Help Group
Group discussion with Bhuj & Anjar Taluka SCI victims- Abhiyan.
Coming together of clients at a common platform.
To share the general information about disability
To share the concept of self help group from Anjar Taluka to Bhuj
Taluka.
To have fun.
We started with the introductory session followed by
group discussion organized by Abhiyan the motto behind the session is to
get the real picture about their disability and how they have overcome
from it and also to get the inputs regarding the contribution from NGOs
and GOVT. In the evening we organized for recreational activities like
passing the parcel, special talents to exhibit their skills in singing
etc, they took active part in the activities and enjoyed to the maximum.
Those who took part in the activities were given with prizes.
We have invited Craft Resource Centre (CRC) to give a general
introduction about their activities as they are involved in embroidery
project in Bhachau so we have asked them to introduce the same in Bhuj,
Anjar, Mandvi, Mundra and they also showed interest in extending their
services. |

Training on Health, Child Care, Nutrition & Income Generation of
Villagers through Self Employment

With the
financial support from GAIL (INDIA) Ltd. Lakadia – Bhachau SPANDAN – A
Medical Relief & Rehabilitation Trust has successfully conducted
training at Shikarpar, Zuna kataria & Naran
sarai, Khidiyanagar,
Bhimasar covering 160 children, 105 females & 100 Males.the focus of the
training programme was TV shows, Street plays, Group Activities &
Resemblance of role models |
